The trails have been cleared and debrushed, the snow machines are ready go, the Loppet plans are underway, and the finances are in good shape. These are a few of things members learned at Monday night’s Annual General Meeting at the Perth & District Indoor Pool. In addition to the usual business of reviewing last year’s minutes, members re-elected Drew Lampman as President and Phill Brackenbury as Vice-president. To kick off the meeting, Trevor Choffe, AKA Perth Fire Chief, spoke about his Everest Marathon adventure from last May. His running partner, Dave Peters, was also present to add detail to the talk. The adventure sounded particularly difficult but the scenery along the running route was stunning. A few photos are posted below. Congratulations to these adventurous athletes for their tremendous accomplishment and for raising $59,000 for cancer.
