Trail Clearing Day

Club members will be walking the trails at Murphy’s Point on Saturday, October 24 to clear away any branches or obstructions and identify any larger trees or hazards that need to be removed to prepare for the ski season.

We will also be installing a snow fence and possibly spreading some mulch on one area of the Loon Lake trail.

This is key preparation for our winter ski season which, we think, may be our busiest yet. It is a fun morning of light exercise in a beautiful autumn setting. Please consider joining us and feel free to invite family and friends.

We meet at the main gate at 8 am and get into small groups to walk, inspect, and clear the trails. We usually wrap up by noon. Mark your calendars, bring a water bottle, a snack, work gloves, and dress for the weather.

Please email Phill to let him know that you are able to join us. Also, if you have any questions or know of someone else who may be interested in pitching in, contact him at pcbrackenbury at gmail dot com.
