Our Loppet was a great success despite the extremely cold conditions. This was the second year of our Cookie Race for young people. The cold did not prevent the children from attending and participating with enthusiasm.

Well – the pic is from last Year. But our groomers really are waiting to go! That’s the new GinzuGroomer. ready for all conditions. Roxanne Kemp and father Tom. Roxanne won the 10 Km overall, men’s and women’s, by 21 seconds over Heidi Scott. Two excellent female skiers! Overall 20 km winners, Heather Tkalee (2nd) and kilted, Lisa Meyer (1st), and Cathy Cottell (3rd). Linda Cairncross of Almonte in her second Loppet after only a year of skiing. Jean Dunning and Don Boyle skied neck to neck right to the finish. Club members Brian Rauwerda and Kandice Brown on course. Start of 10 and 20 km. Winners in the 20 km, 913 Eric Peterson(1st), 971 Francois Dubrous (2nd), amd 1190 Paul Miller (3rd) off to great starts.
